Our Staff

Our team of experienced and highly qualified educators and teachers are here to support your child to have a wonderful experience at Kindy. All Educators/Teachers hold current first aid certificates, working with children blue cards and approved qualifications for their roles. All Educators/Teachers undertake mandatory and voluntary training as well as professional development throughout the year.

Kate Shapcott

Kate has a Bachelor of Arts (UQ), a Graduate Diploma in Education (Child Care) (USQ) and a Graduate Diploma in Teaching and Learning (USQ).

Kate has worked in a wide variety of leadership roles in the Early Childhood Sector and commenced her role with the Corinda Community Kindergarten in 2020.

Kate is an active member of the Early Childhood Teacher’s Association and is passionately interested in children’s literature. Kate believes that play is the natural way for young children to learn. Her goal is to excite their natural drive to learn and explore and to provide opportunities for them to do this through the Kindergarten Program.

Dianne Kay

Dianne completed a Diploma of Community Services (Children’s Services) whilst working as a Family Day Care provider. She initially worked as Special Needs Assistant before becoming Assistant Educator at Corinda Community Kindergarten in 2005. Dianne’s ongoing contribution to the Kindergarten has been invaluable.

Dianne has been an integral part of our kindergarten community for almost 20 years. We are proud to have Dianne’s continued commitment, experience, well organised and supportive skills that have been beneficial to the success of our kindergarten.

Yvonne Lou

(Wednesday & Thursday)

Yvonne is a registered teacher. She has a Certificate 111 and Diploma in Children’s Services, a Bachelor of Early Childhood Studies and a Graduate Diploma in Education.

Yvonne has a passion for teaching and believes that quality early childhood education is paramount in developing a lifelong love of learning. Yvonne believes she has one of the best jobs in the world and we all agree with her!

Yvonne joined our team in 2023 and we are thrilled to have her support.

Anne Riachi

Anne has had many years of accounts/payroll experience within the Kindergarten sector and has worked part time for Corinda Community Kindergarten for many years. Anne’s considerable  experience supports the Kindergarten immensely.

Tracey Pointing

Tracey has a BA and MA in Urban and Regional Town Planning. She is currently studying a Masters in Teaching (Early Childhood).

Tracey joined us in 2023 and is a valued member of our Kindergarten team.

Sarah Peet

Sarah has a Diploma in Education and Care and a Bachelor of Education Early Childhood. Sarah is a registered teacher.

Sarah joined us in 2023 and we are delighted to have her continued support for our program.

Elise is a registered Teacher. She holds a Diploma in Children’s Services and a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood).

Elise has supported our program as Relief Teacher/Educator and Inclusion Support Educator since 2022.
