Mission and Vision

Vision: To be recognised as a pivotal educational facility within the community, offering a unique and enriching experience for every child .

What Makes Us Unique

Corinda Community Kindergarten is a hidden gem, offering a small and beautiful environment where children receive individual attention and care. We provide a strong sense of belonging and consistency, with a dedicated team of educators who have long-standing connections with the kindergarten. Our parent-run management ensures that all resources are reinvested into the kindergarten, prioritising the well-being and development of our children. We value the reciprocal relationships we build with families, ensuring that the voices of parents and children are heard and respected. Being deeply rooted in the community, we foster connections that help children learn about their surroundings and develop essential life skills. In addition to this we are a single class (maximum 22 children) community Kindergarten which means your child will be going to Kindy with the same group of children each day and will make friends easily.

Our Beliefs

  • Early Childhood as a Unique Time: We recognise early childhood as a distinct and valuable period in life, where experiences significantly shape future trajectories.
  • Individual Pace of Development: Children develop and grow at their own pace. We respect the natural progression of childhood and the value of time spent at kindergarten.
  • Importance of Connection: A strong connection with family, community, and the environment is crucial for children’s sense of belonging and well-being.
  • Right to Play: Every child has the right to play, which is integral to learning resilience, critical thinking, and social skills. Our dynamic and responsive learning environment encourages children to engage in meaningful play.
  • Role Models: As educators and adults, we understand our role as models for the children and each other. We strive to create an environment filled with fun, learning, caring, and mutual support.
  • Children as Learners: We believe children are their own best teachers and learn valuable life lessons from each other.
  • Holistic Development: We emphasise the development of healthy bodies, minds, and spirits, recognising the importance of nurturing respectful, caring relationships.
  • Cultural and Environmental Awareness: We respect the cultural values of our families and encourage engagement with the natural world. We also recognise the importance of reconciliation and promoting a just society .
